The Ghetto Funk Tour comes to the Mex Pub this Saturday.
The Comox Valley is the second stop for this party-shaking Canada-wide journey. The Funk Hunters with their blend of booty-shaking, bass-heavy party funk and JPod’s signature dropkick drums, bobblehead bass and intelligent instrumentation are at the forefront of Canada’s West Coast bass and funky breakbeat scene which, in recent times, has taken centre stage of the world.
Their original music, remixes, and re-edits have been played around the world in clubs and radio stations alike. They are signed to GhettoFunk, Manmade Records, Roca Records, Big M, and Swing Set Sounds.
Opening acts include local favourites thenakeddjs and live MCing from Silas Crowe, Mister Luke O’Hearn and Smoky Mirror.
If you like to dance, this event is for you.
Music starts at 9 p.m., main acts at 11.
Tickets are $10 before 10 p.m., $15 after 10.
