Help support CVYMC with home

One of the secrets to the success of Comox Valley Youth Music Centre is the wonderful faculty it has been able to attract.

One of the secrets to the long-time success of Comox Valley Youth Music Centre is the wonderful faculty it has been able to attract for so many years.

Many of them feel that the Comox Valley is their second home, due mainly to the fact that they are literally welcomed into our homes, as well as our concert venues.

Every year Valley homeowners who know they will be out of town during the month of July graciously offer their homes to CYMC for faculty to stay in while they are here teaching and performing at CYMC’s International Summer Youth Music School.

Depending on the length of programs being offered, homes are needed for either two or three weeks. Every effort is made to match individual needs of hosts and faculty.

A few more homes are needed for the 2012 season from July 1 to 29. If you plan to be away from home for all or part of this time, please call to learn more about this opportunity to help CYMC.

The benefits to homeowners:

• Having your home occupied and well cared for by a responsible tenant;

• Supporting a worthwhile organization;

• Being able to say you had a famous musician staying in your home;

• Receiving a tax receipt for your in-kind donation, and, in some cases, a modest rental fee for the use of your home.
