Head of the Herd are doing a West Coast British Columbia Three Chapter Tour that will see them play Vancouver, Courtenay, and Whistler.

Head of the Herd is a modern blues-rock band that released their debut LP entitled On The House on Feb. 9. The album was released as a free download on their website (www.headoftheherdmusic.com) and has managed to create a small buzz in the short time since its release.

The tour comes to the Bridge Lounge on April 1 in Courtenay. The Courtenay show will mark the first time the band will play in the hometown of multi-instrumentalist and founding member of Head of the Herd, Clayton Frank.

The opening act will be lead singer/guitarist Eli Hilberry of Denman Island band MCM.

With the band's boot-stomping, bar-shaking guitar riffs and distinct storytelling lyrics, fans will hear the new album live for the first time. The Bridge gig begins at 10 p.m. Tickets are available at the club at 133 Fifth St.
