Heritage Fibre art show at Filberg

Lovers of exquisitely hand-crafted works in diverse media are invited to take in the Heritage Fibre Art Show

Lovers of exquisitely hand-crafted works in diverse media are invited to take in the Heritage Fibre Art Show being held at the Filberg Lodge.

It happens this Saturday and Sunday at 61 Filberg Rd. in Comox from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days.

Unique sewn quilts by members of the School House Quilters, and in-vogue knitted items by the staff and friends of the Village Yarn Shoppe in Comox are just some of the items on display.

The entire lodge will be filled with displays and demonstrations presented by participating groups including the Denman and District Lace group, the Brazilian Embroidery group, the Wool Gatherers and the School House Quilters.

Of special interest this year, on Sunday morning, will be a display and demonstration by Myshree Tsai and her student in needle painting with silk.

Admission is by donation for this event; the Filberg Tea House is open on the weekend from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

For further information, please contact Jeanne Gusman at 250-339-5991.
