The next art exhibit at Comox Valley Art Gallery is the upcoming 2011 CVAG Juried Members Show.
This exhibit, which runs from March 5 to April 16, will feature all types of art. Video, drawings, paintings, prints, sculpture, ceramics, photography and fibre arts are some of the genres that will be represented. There is no theme this year, so artists are encouraged to work with any concept.
What does it mean to mount a “juried” show?
Once the artwork has been installed, a panel of jurors will assess the art on a variety of merits.
Selected outstanding works will be recognized and awards will be presented at the opening reception on Friday, March 4.
