Join Vancouver Island Tango at the Bridge Lounge for a one-night affair of tango vals on Valentine’s Day at 7 p.m. followed by I Love Monday Night Practica from 8 to 10 p.m.
Tango vals is waltz and is one of the three Argentine tango rhythms. Those already familiar with traditional waltz will recognize the 1-2-3 count, but the music and figures of Argentine waltz are much different.
Kirra Gullickson of Vancouver Island Tango will introduce you to this romantic dance with some simple steps, while focusing on dancing in the rhythm. This is a drop-in class open to all levels of Argentine tango experience.
