The Comox Valley will soon be getting Kelly O’Bryan’s - a full-service family restaurant with a neighbourhood pub feel, similar to this one in Kelowna.

Kelly O’Bryan’s is announcing that it will be opening their ninth location in the Comox Valley.

They have been serving great food, service and abundant Irish cheer to the people of the B.C. Interior and, more recently, Vancouver and Nanaimo for more than 30 years.

Their newest location will be at 2910 Kilpatrick Ave. in Courtenay, near the Comox Valley Parkway, Cliffe Avenue, and within walking distance of the Airpark trail system, downtown Courtenay and surrounding amenities.

Valley resident Wendell Hoyseth will be the owner/operator of this location. Hoyseth has been an active resident of the community for the past 12 years and spent 24 years working in the federal public service - most recently serving 16 years as a communications officer at Comox Coast Guard until the office closed in May 2016.

After deciding to keep his family in the Valley, and working in sales, marketing, and customer relations for the last two years, Hoyseth diligently continued to search for the perfect spot to open the newest location in the Kelly O’Bryan’s family.

Kelly O’Bryan’s is a full-service family restaurant with a neighbourhood pub feel and has an extensive menu. Their hours of operation are 11 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week.

Kelly O’Bryan’s Courtenay will create approximately 50 full-time jobs for Comox Valley residents. They anticipate opening by the end of 2018.
