Completely Creedence is taking the stage Sunday.

Completely Creedence will take you on a musical journey back in time to an era of intense passions.

This final concert in the Simms Concert Series season promises to be an unforgettable experience. It takes place Aug. 27 at 7 p.m. at Courtenay Simms Millennium Park and is free.

Completely Creedence is a Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) tribute band. CCR was a popular rock band, active in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. Their musical style encompassed the roots rock and swamp rock genres. Hits include, Proud Mary, I Put a Spell On You, Suzie Q and many others.

The band, also known as Mr. Completely, has been recording and performing together for over a decade and features Rod Campbell on drums, Lance Lapointe on bass, Richard Spencer on guitar, and Jamie Robertson vocals. Robertson’s voice has the ideal platform to soar skyward; audiences have expressed how remarkably similar he sounds to John Fogerty.

Simms Millenium Park is located by the 5th Street Bridge and across from Lewis Park. Please bring your own lawnchair or blanket. Also, a local food truck will be in attendance for those wanting to purchase food in the park.

For concert information please call the Courtenay Recreation Lewis Centre at 250-338-5371 or get updates at courtenay.ca/simms
