A group of swimmers- Mea, Aili, Audrey, Linden, Coach Ava, Jude and Piers - came to donate the cheque at Lush Valley.

The Comox Valley Blue Devils swim team held their annual swim-a-thon to raise money for both their swim club and a local charity.

The swimmers chose to raise money for the Lush Valley Food Action Society.

The swim club members range in age from five to 18 and set their sights on seeing how many laps they could do in an hour. The swimmers covered an impressive feet of almost 100 kilometres. The club took pledges based on laps completed or a flat rate.

The youngest members of the club, the Little Devils, swam laps of the width of the shallow end of the pool to take part.

The team’s dedication and performance were a source of pride for both swimmers and coaches. The donation to Lush Valley Food Action demonstrates the club’s commitment to making a positive impact for their community.
