As the holiday season approaches, Alitis Investment Counsel once again invites the community to join them in the spirit of giving.
This year marks their third annual toy drive, and building on the success of previous years, the Alitis team is determined to make this year’s event its most impactful yet.
Clients, staff and local residents are encouraged to donate new or gently used toys, all in support of the Campbell River Angel Tree Society and Comox Valley Santa’s Workshop. With these partnerships, Alitis aims to bring warmth and holiday magic to families across the Comox Valley and Campbell River areas.
Reflecting on last year’s memorable toy drive, the initiative brought the community together in an outpouring of generosity, with offices in Comox Valley and Campbell River overflowing with donations.
Alitis has taken gift tags from the Angel Tree to shop for presents specifically chosen for local children. Alongside these efforts, Alitis donated an additional $1,000 for toys, split between Santa’s Workshop and CFAX Santa’s Anonymous. "It’s always exciting to see clients and community members drop by, bringing in toys and sharing the joy of giving back," says Alicia Reny, Regional Office Manager at Alitis. "The community is incredibly generous, and we’re honoured to be a part of such a meaningful tradition."
In addition to toys, donations of gift cards are welcomed, particularly for older children who may otherwise be overlooked. For those wishing to donate food items, Alitis suggests giving directly to local food banks, which are critical in supporting families year-round, especially during the holidays.
Running through Dec. 5, the toy drive welcomes donations Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at both Alitis offices, in Campbell River at 909 Island Hwy #101 and in the Comox Valley at 695 Aspen Rd Suite 103. Whether you’re a client, a resident or just someone moved by the spirit of giving, this toy drive is an opportunity to come together and make a difference.
The commitment from Alitis, alongside the contributions from community members and the dedication of volunteers at the Campbell River Angel Tree Society and Comox Valley Santa’s Workshop, highlights the power of collective giving. This holiday season, Alitis invites everyone to be part of a tradition that continues to spread joy and hope across the community.
