The opening of Waypoint Insurance’s new branch on Cliffe Avenue represents a major milestone, built on decades of hard work, dedication, and the steadfast support of the Comox Valley community.
More than just a relocation, this move celebrates growth, a commitment to the future, and gratitude to the people of the Comox Valley.
"Relocating our branch to a beautiful new space on Cliffe Avenue, alongside our head office, is a proud moment for Waypoint Insurance," says Tony Hayes, Waypoint Insurance CEO. "The Comox Valley is not just where we do business – it’s home for many of our leadership team members and staff. This move reflects our deep commitment to this incredible community, and we’re excited to continue serving our neighbours with trusted insurance solutions while contributing to the vibrancy and growth of the region we love."
Opened on Friday, Nov. 22, the new office at 101-841 Cliffe Ave. houses Waypoint’s retail operations on the ground floor and head office on the third floor. Designed with accessibility in mind, the space features an open-concept layout with earth tones, wood accents, and cozy modern touches that create a welcoming environment for clients and staff.
"This new space is not just about growth; it’s about creating a better experience for our clients and our team," says Kirsten Kisiloski, VP of Operations. "We’ve worked hard to ensure the new office is inviting and accessible, while also providing a fantastic workspace for our employees. It symbolizes Waypoint’s investment in both our people and our community."
Waypoint has long been known for its tailored insurance solutions, specializing in meeting the unique needs of individuals, families, and businesses in the region. "We focus on safeguarding homes, vehicles, and businesses, offering peace of mind to our community," says Kisiloski.
Waypoint’s history in the Comox Valley spans decades, with deep roots in the community. Now a local success story, the company operates three locations in the area and over 30 offices across Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland, employing 800 people.
"Being part of the Comox Valley means more than just doing business here," says Tracey Strain, Regional Manager. "Our staff actively volunteer with community organizations, and we proudly support local events and sponsorships. Giving back is core to who we are."
By moving to the heart of downtown Courtenay, Waypoint has positioned itself centrally and accessibly for clients and staff. The new offices reflect the company’s enduring commitment to the Comox Valley, its people and its future.
