Big Time Out music festival going ahead next month in Cumberland area

The Big Time Out music festival will proceed in August, promoter Vig Schulman confirmed Wednesday. After word leaked out earlier Wednesday that TBTO was not being sanctioned due to security concerns, Schulman subsequently said the festival Aug. 12 and 13 will proceed in the Cumberland area.

After word leaked out earlier Wednesday that TBTO was not being sanctioned due to security concerns, Schulman subsequently said the festival Aug. 12 and 13 will proceed in the Cumberland area.

Aside from saying it would not happen as it has for several years at Village Park in Cumberland, Schulman did not offer details, saying a news release would be forthcoming.

The Big Time Out’s lineup is headlined by Juno Award-winning Bedouin Soundclash with support from Beats Antique, the Boom Booms, Dub FX, Kim Churchill, Current Swell, Emily Spiller, Kuba Oms & the Velvet Revolution and Luciterra.
