A Bowser resident was in shock when all his numbers came out during a Keno draw (Feb. 21) that garnered him $25,070.

Joseph Lambert checked his ticket multiple times to confirm that he had won. He purchased the ticket at the Crown and Anchor Roadhouse Pub on Island Highway west of Qualicum Beach and learned that it was a winner.

“I was sitting there watching the board… all of the numbers started to light up,” Lambert recalled. “At first I couldn’t believe it. I had to keep checking the ticket over and over again.”

Lambert plans to treat his daughter to a spa day with some of his prize and adds “it feels good to be a winner, it’s pretty exciting.”
