Comox dental surgeon released on bail after lengthy hearing

A Comox dental surgeon facing five criminal charges was released on bail late Tuesday afternoon after a hearing that lasted much of the day.

A Comox dental surgeon facing five criminal charges was released on bail late Tuesday afternoon after a hearing that lasted much of the day.The charges include mischief, break and enter and committing an indictable offence, theft under $5,000 and two counts of administering a noxious thing with intent to annoy.Dr. Andreas Conradi, 53, sat quietly against the back of the prisoners' dock while he was released on bail with two sureties of $15,000 each. Judge R. Sutton imposed a variety of conditions including a curfew. He ordered Conradi to not consume drugs or alcohol and not possess any weapons. As well, Conradi must report as directed to a bail supervisor and remain in B.C. with the exception of a trip to Germany this summer to visit his elderly mother. Represented by Victoria-based lawyer Dale Marshall, Conradi will make his next court appearance June 14 at 9 a.m.Due to a publication ban, further details of charges cannot be released. photos@comoxvalleyrecord.com
