Comox fighters have donated $1,000 to the Connect Warming Centre through the Comox Valley Transition Society.

The Connect Warming Centre is currently being used for temporary housing for some of the displaced residents of the recent fire at the Travelodge in Courtenay.

The Comox Firefighters Association has a long history of helping others by not only responding to emergencies but by assisting other ways.

“I am very proud of our firefighters for their donation and all of the charitable work they do all year long,” said Chief Gord Schreiner. “Our firefighters understand that they can make a positive difference in so many ways.
