Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce surveying members about proposed holiday

The Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce will participate in a teleconference with Minister of Jobs, Tourism and Innovation Pat Bell.

The Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce, along with other B.C. Chambers, will participate in a Thursday teleconference with Minister of Jobs, Tourism and Innovation Pat Bell to discuss Premier Christy Clark's proposed Family Day holiday in February.The one-hour conference call intends to identify factors industry and business consider important in determining the date for Family Day. The Province is considering either the second or third Monday in February.  The U.S. and most Canadian jurisdictions have a holiday on the third Monday.The Chamber is asking for input from its members on how this holiday will impact local businesses.The survey is at http://survey.constantcontact.com/survey/a07e5xc0i7fh27snjbo/start. It closes at 4 p.m. Wednesday.For more information, call the Chamber office at 250-334-3234.
