Comox Valley School District Supt. Sherry Elwood will be taking over as superintendent at the Richmond School District (No. 38) as of Feb. 1.

Elwood, who has been with SD71 since 2010, will succeed Richmond’s Superintendent of Schools Monica Pamer.

The SD38 website says Elwood has more than 20 years of “progressive senior administrative leadership” in the B.C. school system.

“In this role she has demonstrated an ability to work as a collaborative leader, innovator, problem solver and mentor for students, parents and staff. She is a six-year member and the current president of the British Columbia School Superintendents Association.”
