Hold and secure Monday morning at Arden Elementary

  • Apr. 23, 2018 11:30 a.m.

On Monday morning, Arden Elementary implemented a hold and secure security measure as a result of suspicious activity around the school grounds.

RCMP arrived on the scene quickly and, after a thorough investigation, deemed there was no threat to the public. Arden Elementary returned to normal operations without further incident.

A hold and secure is used in response to security threats or criminal activity outside the school.

During a hold and secure, school operations continue as normal. All entrance doors are locked with no one permitted in or out of the building.
