I am a mother of four boys, three of whom are in the public school system, with the fourth soon to follow.
I am a strong believer in public education and believe every child in this province has a right to receive one.
I visit my children’s classrooms frequently and see the struggles their hard-working teachers deal with on a daily basis.
I have a deep respect for teachers and the important job they do educating our children.
The recent labour dispute has really opened my eyes to the huge gaps in the public school system. I don’t want to sit by and just hope that things will change.
I want to speak up for our education system and all the kids who should be benefitting from it.
Education is the foundation to our kids’ dreams and aspirations for the future, and that education should help those dreams become a reality.
If elected I will be a strong, accountable voice for the community, and will put my best efforts forward to help our public school system be a priority in our community and our province.
