After 29 of 172 ballot boxes counted in the Comox Valley, Liberal Don McRae maintained his lead, although his percentage slipped.
The incumbent McRae had 1,382 votes. At 47.10 per cent, that was down from his earlier percentage of 51.43.
NDP challenger Kassandra Dycke had 1,045 votes. Her percentage of 35.62 was up from 32.53.
Chris Aikman of the Greens had 353 votes and Conservative Diane Hoffmann had earned 154.
