Man robs Courtenay business Sunday morning

On Sunday, Aug. 16 at approximately 8:25 a.m., a man entered the business, showed the employee a weapon, and then demanded all of the money from the cash drawer. The suspect was last seen running through the alleyway in behind the businesses.

The suspect is a Caucasian man 40-50 years old, about 5’8”, with a light coloured moustache. He was wearing sunglasses, a black hoodie with blue jeans and had his face covered by a black handkerchief with a white spider web design.

“Frontline members were assisted by Police Dog Services and the Integrated Forensic Identification Section at the scene,” said Const.
