The Mountainaire Avian Rescue Society Annual General Meeting will take place Sunday, May 25 at the Merville Hall.
The theme for this year’s AGM is a celebration of MARS's monthly donors.
David Stapely and Wendy Kotilla will be guest speakers at the meeting. Stapely will present the Comox Valley Conservation Strategy (CVCS) report “Nature Without Borders – Second Edition,” which sets out strategy, based on current science and law, to guide land-use planning.
Kotilla created the Youth and Ecological Restoration Program in 2004.
There will be a recap of the MARS achievements of the past year, an introduction of the board of directors, a view of the strategic plan and a business meeting, as well as cake and represhments to recognize the society's donors.
The meeting will run from 1-4 p.m.
