The Comox Valley Board of Education easily re-elected its chair and vice-chair last week.
Tom Weber, trustee for Area B, was nominated for re-election as board chair by trustee Peter Coleman. No other nominations were put forward and Weber was declared chair by acclamation.
Courtenay trustee Janice Caton was re-elected as vice-chair by acclamation after being nominated by trustee Donna Gambacorta.
Caton will be the board's representative to the BC School Trustees Association and Gambacorta will be the alternate. Coleman will be the board's representative to the BC Public School Employers' Association and trustee Rick Grinham will be the alternate.
