It was a whale of a time Saturday (Aug. 28) in Comox, as two transient Orcas made their way close to shore near Goose Spit.

Ella Smiley of Comox Valley Wildlife Sightings snapped photos of T077C and T077D about 10 feet from shore off the end of the spit known as Little Mexico.

According to the group, both orcas are part of the family whose calls were used by the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada in 2019 to lure T073B out of the Comox Harbour in August 2018.
