Power outages have been reported across the Comox Valley, affecting 916 customers.

According to the BC Hydro website, as of 2:00 p.m. Sunday, there were five power outages throughout the Valley, most likely caused by the weather.

The biggest power outage, east of Old Island Highway and north of Hardy Road, was caused by a fallen tree and affected 730 customers.

A downed tree was also the cause of a power outage south of Tsolum River Road.

Wires are down west of Grandview Road and in the 900 block of Sand Pines Drive causing power outages in both locations.

A small power outage was also reported in the 3500 block of Piercy Road, but the cause is under investigation.

BC Hydro crews have been dispatched to each location.

Story will be updated when more information becomes available.
