The Comox Valley Regional District board has approved $30,000 to construct three park- ing spaces at Harvard Road in the Little River neighbourhood of Area B.
The unopened road right of way that pro- vides beach access has caused tension in the neighbourhood. Denny Road residents Dave and Barbara Mellin say their neighbour, Ray Shannon, has placed boulders, posts and other obstructions on the road, making it appear to be private property. But Shannon says his work has always been completed with a permit.
The B.C. Transportation Ministry (MOTI) has the right of way at the Harvard Road access, but the regional district has permission to use about a metre of it as a pathway to the beach.
