The Gladstone Brewing Company will add an outdoor patio to its downtown premises, Courtenay council approved Monday. The brewery opened in the new year near the intersection of Fourth and Cliffe.
In other outdoor restaurant news, council approved a David Frisch resolution for staff to report on issues related to sidewalk cafes, and recommendations for allowing downtown cafes.
“I think this is something we can move on,” Frisch said, noting downtown revitalization is a council priority.
