RCMP seeking help for Sunday altercation

Man was beat up outside the Best Western Hotel in Courtenay

The Comox Valley RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying three men that were involved in an altercation outside a local drinking establishment with a single man.

The  victim related that he was outside the Best Western Hotel, located on Cliffe Avenue in Courtenay, April 20 somewhere between 2:00 and 3:00 a.m.

He got into an argument with three unknown young men and when he started to walk away from the three men, one of them punched him in the face. On April 21 the victim was taken into surgery for a broken jaw he received in the alleged assault.
