Report of shots fired on Cliffe Avenue

Comox Valley RCMP confirm they received a call Sunday following a report of shots fired near Fluid Bar & Grill on Cliffe Avenue in Courtenay.

Const. Rob Gardner said while police attended the scene, the investigation revealed there were no guns or rifles used in the incident.

He added there were no arrests made related to the incident.

Reports on social media showed a large police presence further down Cliffe Avenue near Mudsharks Coffee Bar, where it was reported a suspect had fled.
