Late-night kayaking excursion goes awry

Numerous search and rescue units, including 442 Squadron from Comox are in Union Bay this morning searching for a lost kayaker. Reports are that two kayakers were out at sea during the night. One returned to shore; the other did not. The Record will update this situation as it develops.
