This special service is courtesy of the Comox Valley Regional District, and is offered free of charge."Last year, 165 riders took the free bus between Courtenay and Cumberland during Empire Days,” said Comox Valley Regional District board chair Edwin Grieve. “That is over three times what the No. 2 Cumberland bus sees on a typical day, which is a measurable success in terms of moving people in an environmentally friendly way. This year we hope even more people take advantage of this great free service to get to Cumberland and enjoy the village’s historic celebration.”For more information on the Comox Valley Transit System, visit www.bctransit.com.— Comox Valley Regional District
