No major injuries were reported late Monday morning as a car drove into a building in downtown Courtenay.

Around 11:30 a.m., a green Mazda hit below a display window in front of Jim’s Clothes Closet at 219 5th St.

The driver was examined by BC Ambulance but was not seriously injured.

This is the second incident in two days in the Comox Valley of a vehicle crashing into a building.

On Saturday morning, a grey SUV jumped the curb in the roundabout parking lot in front of the Berwick Comox Valley in Comox. The vehicle hit a wooden bench, then collided into a service door between two units.

The driver in that incident was uninjured following the crash.
