It is with deep sorrow, that the family announces Marcel's peaceful passing at North Island Hospital, Courtenay on November 5th, 2019. Marcel struggled with diabetes for many years, and after his most recent battle, his body could not fight any longer. Predeceased by his parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters and his first wife Connie, he is survived and will be lovingly missed by his second wife and from his first marriage 2 sons, 2 daughters-in-law, 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Marcel served with the Canadian Air Force for 25 years, was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion and in his leisure, enjoyed hockey, slow pitch, fishing, and hunting.
Prayers will be offered with viewing on Tuesday, November 12th, 7:30 pm at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, where Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 13th, at 11 am with Father David Hogman, celebrant. Burial will follow at Courtenay Civic Cemetery. Should friends wish, donations in his memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, would be appreciated.
