Alec Bossom, born July 20, 1937, passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on April 19, 2016 after a long illness. Alec will be sadly missed by his wife of 52 years, Diane, children Mike (Lorrie), David (Jane), Rick, Linda (Doug), grandchildren Shannon (Robb) Matt (Jenn), Devan (Daniel), Cameron, Kevin, Travis, Maddie, Perry, Nathaniel, Owen, Riley, brother Roy, brother-in-law Donald Law (Dorothy), several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Rosina, father Fred and brother Fred Jr. He also leaves behind numerous relatives in Canada and around the world.
He was a well known and liked businessman for over 45 years in the Comox Valley and North Island being an equal partner in Pacific Coast Cleaners Ltd. / Pacific Coast Industrial Garment Suppliers Ltd. In lieu of flowers donations in Alec’s name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The family wishes to thank Dr. Daws, Dr. Dhansay, Island Health Community Home Support – South Island for their care and compassion and Living Room Pharmacy for their support and excellent service.
