It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
Alexander Miller McCliesh August 23, 1931-November 24, 2016.
As we mourn our loss we know Alex is at peace looking forward to reuniting with his family and friends who have passed before him.
Alex is predeceased by his mother and father, Sarah and Tom. Brother Jim. Sisters, Sarah, Margaret, Betty, May and Nora. Alex is survived by his wife Lena and Son Tom (Eileen) Sister Rae (Johnny) and Joyce as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Alex was born in Troon, Scotland and came to Canada in 1949.
He worked in the coal mines in Drum Heller before joining the Air Force. He then worked at Westmin Mines where he retired from in 1996. A service for Alex will be held at the Cumberland Legion on December lOth from 12-4.
