ALICE BERNICE MITCHELL
(nee COURT)
Passed away in Comox, B.C. on October 26, 2009. She was born on December 4, 1920 in Raymond, Alberta. She was predeceased by her husband Rennie and her daughter, Susan. Left to remember with deep love and fondness are her five children; Richard Mitchell (Marilyn), Maureen Neumann (Steve), Patricia Hall (Vern), Kathleen Fontaine (Bob), and Robert Mitchell (Sandra). She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
She lived for many years in Castlegar, B.C., Texada Island, B.C. and Faro, Yukon Territories before retiring in Courtenay, where she spent many years doing the things she loved most. Family was always first for Alice and she entertained them often. She kept daily journals and never forgot a birthday. She loved to read, garden and there was always a jig-saw puzzle about. She also owned an endless cookie jar and was often found in the kitchen baking more goodies. She will be missed! As per family’s request, no service will be held.
