With deep sadness it is announced that Mrs. Alice Mary Makosiej (nee: Buddle) passed away peacefully on January 19th, 2005 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Comox, B.C. Alice was born on September 17th, 1928 in Kennington, England, UK. Forever lovingly remembered by her husband of 51 years, Boleslaw Makosiej; son Robert and wife Lori-Ann Makosiej of Nanaimo, B.C.; and three daughters: Marysia (nee: Makosiej) and husband Allen Segstro of DeBolt, AB, Christina Makosiej of Comox, B.C., and Rose Makosiej of Cold Lake, AB., as well as three grandchildren: Travis of Calgary, AB, Melissa and Miranda, both of Nanaimo, B.C. Alice was the eldest of eight children born to Walter and Florence Buddle and is survived by two brothers: Walter (Carol) Buddle, Albert (Kay) Buddle, both of the UK; and five sisters, Sissy Fisk, Babe (Bill) Dibble, Mary Buddle, Barbara Dyer and Susan (Alec) Evans, and many nieces and nephews, also all of the UK. Alice is predeceased by her father and mother, Walter and Florence Buddle, as well as two brothers-in-law, Ron Fisk and John Dyer.
Just days ago we lost you,
But you didn’t go alone,
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
Remembering you is easy,
We do it every day,
But missing you is our heartache,
That will never go away.
