In loving memory ~
With heavy hearts we say goodbye to our beloved, Mom, Grandma, GG and Sister. She was the heart of the family. We will miss her infectious smile. She listened with her whole heart, loving unconditionally. Her compassion for all living things was epic.
Born in Merville and raised in Dove Creek Alice was a true pioneer. Alice and Dick started their life journey on the Kitty Coleman farm and after a time in Union Bay and Mission Hill they returned to the Farm to live out their golden years. Alice raised eight children, and we all agree she was the best Mom ever. Alice worked at Forbidden Plateau Ski Hill making awesome cinnamon buns and butter tarts. She was hands on when the family built a ski cabin at the Plateau, our large family spent many holidays up there. She skied, hiked and camped with us. Alice was active with the CRA Swim Club meets as all eight children were involved in this activity. Alice enjoyed spending time in her gardens and ensuring everyone was fed, family and friends, who ever was at the table at dinner time.
Left to mourn are her children, Bruce (Kerry), Rob (Janice), Lynne (Al), Glen, Dan (Karen), Rick, Norm (Helen); Grandchildren, Avry, Alyssa, Kristofor, Matthew, Jacquelyn, Danielle, Brittany, Dawson, Jayden, Hope; 10 Great Grandchildren; brothers Charlie and Roy and sister Ruth.
She was predeceased by her husband Dick Isenor, son Daryl Isenor, brother Runar Hagg and parents Ingrid and Nestor Hagg.
We would like to thank the staff of The Views and Glacier View for caring for Alice as if she was a part of their family.
Donations to Glacier View Lodge and the Parkinson Society British Columbia in lieu of flowers would be welcomed.
A family service will be held to say our goodbyes.
