ALICE ROWENA EIDE

1923-2006

Alice Eide of Comox was born October 10th, 1923 in Regina, Saskatchewan, and passed away on Tuesday, September 26th, 2006.


She is survived and lovingly remembered by her sons Harold (Patty) Eide of Headingly, Manitoba and Eric (Louise) Eide of Comox; sister Sylvia Siater of Courtenay; neices Cindy Chesko and Audrey Slater and nephew Tim Slater. She was predeceased by her husband Henry Eide; son Allan Eide; father and mother Humphrey and Evelyn Smith; and sister Ruth.


Alice was a devoted member of the Comox United Church where she played the organ from the 1970s to the 1990s. She also entertained by playing the piano at many seniors facilities around the Comox Valley.


Alice was a full-time Mom and is remembered lovingly by her family as being kind and even-tempered. In her leisure Alice was an avid painter in both oils and water colours. She played the piano everyday and was a member of both the Evergreen Singers and Valley Echos. Alice loved her dog Bruno.


A service celebrating Alice’s life will be held on Saturday October 14th at 11:00 am at COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME AND CREAMTORIUM, 1101 RYAN ROAD, COURTENAY.
