It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Allan Piercy, at the age of 86. He passed away suddenly on April 21, 2025 at Glacier View Lodge.
Allan was predeceased by his wife, Theo whom he was married to for 49 years.
Allan will always be lovingly remembered by his son Bradley (Deborah), daughter Laurenne (Ken), grandchildren Jaron, Kyra and Kyle, sister Carol (George) and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends that loved him.
Allan was born in Campbell River on January 31, 1939 and grew up in Courtenay with summers spent on Denman Island. Once out of high school, he joined the RCAF with training in Winnipeg. He was then posted to Marville, France as an Air Intercept Navigator on CF-100 fighter jets. While in France, he met his sweetheart Theo. After the RCAF, the newlyweds settled in Campbell River where Allan switched careers and became a Chartered Accountant. Allan's love for the west coast included fishing, hunting and hiking. He always loved a good scotch or glass of wine with friends and family.
Allan moved into Berwick, Comox in 2020 spending time walking in Filberg Park then moved to Glacier View Lodge in early 2024.
The family wants to express our deepest thanks to the staff at Glacier View Lodge who treated him like gold this past year.
Flowers are gratefully declined and a private service will be held. For those that knew Allan, please raise a glass of cheer in his memory.
