Inglis , Allan Jefferey

September 12, 1956 ~ December 17, 2010

Al passed away suddenly but peacefully in Victoria General Hospital at the age of 54 from complications due to a surgery.

He is survived by a large and diverse, loving family. His eternal source of pride and joy his sons, Kyle, Jeremy, Josh and Cameron. Mother, Doreen Chatten. His partner and companion of 2 years, Tammy Livingston and her family. His sister Kim and brothers, Steve, Mike, Ron, Randy, Rick and Rob. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

In 1977 Al started with MacMillan Blodel/Western Forest Products, Kelsey Bay Div. He held a variety of positions including H.D. Mechanic, Driller/Blaster and Equipment Operator.

A people person, Al collected many friends along the way from his school days in Cumberland, the Royston cabin, the bunkhouse in Sayward and could be found on many an afternoon enjoying a cool Kokanee with those friends.

He loved life, had many interests and hobbies, loved the great outdoors and was often seen about town in his Canso. He enjoyed a good guitar and being surrounded by family and friends.

As Al would say “Love ya, catch ya later.” We will all miss you Al, forever in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held on December 28th at the Best Western Hotel in Courtenay at 2:00pm.
