1945 - 2005
Al left us suddenly in a logging truck accident near Prince George, BC. He leaves behind Linda Halliday - Sumner, his loving wife of 20 years; daughter Tamara (Derek); son Dean (Cheryl); stepdaughter Jean (Wayne); and stepson Ernie (Mitzi). Al will also be missed by his grandchildren: Stephanie, Sarah, Cassie, Stephanie, Dillon, Brittany, Brianne, Tiffany, Madison and Stephanie (Stevie); his mother Doris; sisters: Joan, Patty; brothers: George and Frankie.
Al (also known as Big Al) touched the lives of many people with his interests in flying, archery, fishing, quads and his endless curiosity of knowing how everything worked. But most of all, he will be missed as that husband, father, grandfather, and friend that you could always count on no matter what the circumstances - he was there.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2005 at 12:00pm from the Chapel of Piercy’s - Mt. Washington Funeral Home, 440 England Ave., Courtenay, BC. In lieu of flowers; bring your memories, Al would have liked that.
