August 13, 1941 - August 8, 2020
Andre (Andy) Joseph Eugene Tremblay, Master Warrant Officer RCAF (retired), passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 8, 2020, in Courtenay, BC.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Gloria, his children, Cammy (Lance), Terry (Lisa), Marc (Clare), Danny (Jana), 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and numerous brothers, sisters, nephews, and nieces from coast-to-coast.
Andy was born on August 13, 1941, in Chicoutimi, Quebec, as the middle child of a very large family. He joined the RCAF in 1959 and was posted to Downsview, Ontario in 1961 where he started dating Gloria Crocker the following year. They married in 1963 and spent 57 wonderful years together.
His career took him and his family across Canada. He retired in 1990 and moved to Grand Forks, BC with Gloria to be close to children and grandchildren where they lived for 28 years before finally moving to Comox in 2018.
Andy was a caring husband and father who enjoyed walking, biking, fishing, golfing, and volunteering at the food bank. He loved to laugh and joke and always had a twinkle in his eye. He could regularly be heard singing and whistling everywhere he went.
A special thanks to the staff at Comox Valley Seniors Village and Dr. Brad Harris for their compassion and support. Private cremation arrangements have been made.
In lieu of flowers or donations, please take a moment to do an act of generosity for a friend or stranger in reflection of Andy's positive and generous nature.
