Angela passed away peacefully on July 5, 2021 in Courtenay, BC. She was born in Edmonton, Alberta on December 3, 1928, an only] child of John and Mary Kushner. Upon graduation in 1946 she obtained a position of school secretary and advanced to the Secretary Treasurer's Office where she continued working until 1976.
She met her husband John in 1970 and married in 1972. In 1975, John took early retirement and they and Angela's step mother Nellie, moved to Fanny Bay, Vancouver Island.
Angela and John became very involved in the community, they were members of the Fanny Bay Seniors and the Fanny Bay Community Association. Angela enjoyed her garden, petti point, cross stitch, reading and carpet bowling. She looked after the books for the Lion's Club Seaview Village in Union Bay for several years.
In 1999 they built a lovely home and moved to Comox, BC. Angela has been a major financial supporter of the Foundation at St Joseph's Hospital.
Angela is predeceased by her husband John in 2014, mother Mary in 1942, her father John in 1970 and her step mother Nellie in 1999.
Angela is survived by her step son Larry (Nancy) Boise, Idaho, step daughter Sherry Victoria, BC, two step granddaughters Leah and Lael, and 5 step great grandchildren, the latter residing in California.
