November 28, 1920 - May 14, 2022
Our beautiful Mother passed away peacefully at Stanford Assisted Living in Parksville. Her final journey took 10 days, and her daughters, Judith and Anita were with her the entire time. Her granddaughter, Sarah, also visited with her.
Such an amazing woman. She was fierce, loving, organized, funny, and an amazing single-parent homemaker - she cooked, baked, preserved, painted the rooms in our home, and sewed our clothes (Christmas always meant a special dress or suit for each of us).
Mutti had an amazing voice and she always sang and we joined in. She always looked beautiful, even after a water fight with all the neighborhood children.
After her children were "grown" she became a Cosmetician for a prominent company and travelled all over British Columbia to instruct and place products in stores everywhere. She loved driving and collected many speeding tickets during her travels.
Mutti leaves to mourn her four children and their spouses - Judith (Brian McLean), Anita (Jim Lornie), William Pump (Christine) and Kate (Dennis Hayashi).
Her grandchildren - Meaghan (Tristram), Michael, Sarah, Melanie and Carmen (Jennie). Her great grandchildren, Gemma, Bennett, McKenna and Logan.
She also considered the children and grandchildren of Brian McLean and Dennis Hayashi as her own.
Our Mutti - the youngest of 12 children, and the last to pass over. Her ashes will be brought to Penticton - our happy family vacation place, in the Fall.
