Annie Meredith (Zozula) aka Anne (Eileen) Meredith ~
It is with great sadness, our family has had to say goodbye to our loving matriarch Anne Meredith at the age of 90.
She is survived by her brother Peter Zozula, her sister Mary Lorimer as well as several nieces and nephews and her grandchildren Theresa Scales (Chris), Jennifer Meredith, Christopher Meredith (Christine), and Kadin Malboeuf as well as her great grandchildren Damian (Allison), Connor, Victoria, Shaye, and Emerson and her great-great grandchildren Mason and Forrest.
She is predeceased by her daughters Catherine and Heather and her partner Garry.
Anne loved the outdoors. She spent most of her adult life camping and travelling British Columbia and Alberta. Anne and Garry had a gold claim and would enjoy panning for sometimes weeks at a time.
Anne worked as a social worker for many years and spent some time working with youth with special needs. She had a great love of helping people and showed that with her continued charity.
Anne enjoyed music and had quite the eclectic taste. She enjoyed singing and immersing herself into anything she enjoyed.
Anne was an avid bird watcher and loved to sit in her yard watching all the birds she enjoyed feeding. She enjoyed making her own bird food and would often tell anyone that would listen that the birds preferred her homemade food vs store bought.
The family would like to thank Dr. Dawes and her team as well as the staff at North Island General Hospital along with the team with home support and home care with a special thank you to Phillip. We would also like to thank the volunteer team at Thrifty Foods with a special thank you to Wayne.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the MS society, women's resource centre, or a local food bank would be gratefully appreciated.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date."
