In Loving Memory ~
Annie Teresa Powers was born November 28, 1928 in Comox B.C. and sadly but peacefully passed away on August 23, 2022 surrounded by
her children.
Annie is predeceased by her Mother Olive Mary Powers, father Augustine Joseph Powers. Sister Mary (Tuma), brothers Jack Powers, Patrick Powers, Charlie Powers, Oliver Powers, her son Gregory Moffatt and daughter Cherrel (Parkinson) as well as her husband George Malboeuf.
Annie is survived by her sister Margaret (Walters), her children Edward Siba, Carol Moffatt, Archie Moffatt, Patricia (Gross), Guy Moffatt, Darren Moffatt, and Robert Moffatt as well as her 22 Grandchildren, 32 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews!
Annie was a very strong, courageous and loving woman, who became a widow in 1962, leaving her to raise a large family of 8 children.
Her struggles were many during our childhood years, but Annie persevered through it all and managed to keep us all together as a family, bless her soul!
In 1988 at the age of 60 she married the love of her life George, they enjoyed the next 22 years of marriage together and as mom says..."danced so much she wore holes right through the soles of her favorite dancing shoes." George sadly passed away in 2010.
Annie struggled with various health issues during her last 10 years with us. She resided at the Views at St. Josephs in Comox for her last 3 1/2 years, where she was cared for and loved by all, they especially loved that dazzling smile she gave to everyone she crossed paths with!
Annie will be sadly missed by her many family members and friends and will remain in our hearts for eternity!
A Celebration of Annie's Life will be held on October 1st, 2022 at 3pm at 8841 Tammy Rd, Black Creek, BC.
All who loved Annie are welcome to attend.
