Anthony Laurence Blomme

October 23, 1964 – June 26, 2016

Tony was surrounded by his family when he passed away from complications of a very brief bout of pneumonia.

Shortly after his birth in Saskatoon, the family moved to Calgary where he spent his formative years. Tony then moved to Vancouver and after several years there he moved to Vancouver Island.

Though living a distance from most of his family for many years Tony put a priority on keeping in touch with everyone. Until we all come together again in the sweet bye-and-bye he will be missed by his mother and step-father, Carol and Edd Elliott, his brothers Andrew and Adam (Dawn),Larry and Patrick, sister Paige (Dave), sister Michelle (Jeff), brother Michael and many aunts, uncles, cousins, a niece and nephews.

Tony loved the time he spent swimming and camping. His friends and family will always treasure the time spent discussing his latest entrepreneurial adventure, looking at art or listening to music. He had positive approach to all things spiritual and a determination to be at peace with his creator.

The family is so grateful to the healthcare providers at both St. Joseph’s Hospital in Comox and the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria for giving Tony such compassionate care.

Tony benefited so much from the time he spent volunteering and would want everyone to spend a few hours doing volunteer work in his memory. In lieu of flowers make a donation to your favourite charity.

We will gather together as a community to celebrate Tony’s life on July 13th, 12:00 noon, in the Tea Room at Piercy's Mt. Washington Funeral Home. Please come and share memories of the good times you had with him.
