Archie (Baldy) Rankin

1936 – 2007

Archie passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital on May 18, 2007 at the age of 71 after a lengthy illness. He is lovingly remembered and survived by his wife, Norma of 49 ½ years and his brother, Maurice; sisters-in-law, Linda Price of Westbank and Pat (Jeff) Rowe of Keremeos; nieces and nephews: David, Shannon, Greg, Michelle and their children. Archie enjoyed a variety of pastimes: stock car racing (crew member), boating, golfing, RV-ing and especially the yearly trips to Maui.

He was a Charter member of DeMolay, Courtenay branch, a long time member of the Courtenay Legion and Sunnydale Golf Course. He will always be remembered for his mischievous grin and wide smile.

A very special thank you to Dr. J. Fitzpatrick for his many years of care and friendship with Archie and to all the caring 3rd floor nurses.
