Armando passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Comox.
He is survived and will be lovingly missed by his wife of 47 years Adelaide; his son Rick (Deborah) of Toronto, his daughter Yvone (Tim) of Comox; a granddaughter Brittney; a brother Julio (Prazeres) of Toronto; numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Armando was a businessman who owned a very successful restaurant and then a gas station in Toronto. After taking a year and a half vacation in Portugal he was able to retire to British Columbia at the age of 46 years. In his leisure time Armando enjoyed fishing and hunting, watching Adelaide’s garden and spending time with his family. Armando was an intelligent man who had a serious character. Prayers will be offered on Wednesday, January 10th, 2007 at 7 p.m. from COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIUM, 1101 RYAN ROAD with viewing and visitation following. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Paul Murphy from Christ The King Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, January 11th, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Viewing at the church for 1 hour prior to the service.
